15 Years of Avocado Booking: Blue Note play the songs of Swing Kids
Avocado Booking is thrilled to announce its 15th anniversary in bringing you the very best in hardcore/punk and metal from all around the world.

Blue Note aka Swing Kids

They are going to celebrate this momentous occasion in exciting style by bringing back the very same people that toured Europe with them on our very first tour back in the summer of 1996.

Justin Pearson, Jose Palafox, Jimmy LaVelle and John Brady accompanied by Nathan Joyner will be touring Europe this summer performing the songs of Swing Kids.

Swing Kids were undoubtedly one of the most influential and genre defining bands to come out of the 90′s hardcore scene, creating something unique, incredibly capturing and genre defining. The band included members of acts such as Unbroken, The Crimson Curse, Some Girls, Sweep The Leg Johnny and Bread and Circuits.

Many of you are probably aware of the tragic death of Swing Kids (and Unbroken) original guitarist Eric Allen in 1998. It is due to this that the remaining members will perform these upcoming dates as Blue Note and not as Swing Kids.

A lot has changed in 15 years and even though Swing Kids could never be the exact same band that stepped foot on European soil back in 1996, Blue Note are every bit as relevant and very much an artistic and political force much like Swing Kids were.

„Avocado has booked hundreds of tours since that fateful summer of 1996 and it is every bit as thrilling to be able to look back to where it all began as it is to look forward to what the next 15 years will hold in store for us. It’s been a great 15 years so far and we can’t wait to celebrate,“ says Avocado Booking co-owner Ivonne Davies-Kreye.

Dates will be published within the next few weeks – Tour will run from July 22nd – July 31st, 2011.

Don’t miss out on on what is sure to be one of the highlights of 2011!!!
