O'Neill Close Encounter 2011
All tuesday two jetski’s hover in the beautiful bay of Imsouane. For some of the local heroes it’s the very first time they get some jet power in their boards.
German Paul Grey is happily ever after: “It’s great to get so much speed on this tiny waves. It went suprisingly well and I could even finish some airs.” At the end of the day the guys with the leading roles in this action movie come on the set.

Seb Toots signs a new 5 year deal with O’Neill!
Canadian freestyle snowboard star Sebastien Toutant has just signed a new five year contract with O’Neill.

The 18 year old snowboarder – known throughout the world of snowboarding as Seb Toots – signed the contract in front of a crowd of fans at the O’Neill Evolution in Davos Switzerland just hours prior to his Slopestyle victory at the TTR World Snowboard Tour 6Star Event.

Heute stieg erneut die Spannung am Crap Sogn Gion, als die Männer im Halfpipe Semifinale an den Start gingen. Im internationalen Feld von 41 Fahrern legten Topstars bereits im ersten Run die Latte für den Finaleinzug sehr hoch. In einer perfekt geshapten Superpipe zeigten die Rider Tricks auf höchstem Niveau und versuchten damit einen der 10 Finalplätze zu erlangen.

Frühlingsgefühle beim zweiten Tourstopp der Quiksilver Wir Schanzen!
Blauer Himmel, warme Sonnenstrahlen, Slush, ein außerordentlich leckeres Barbecue und freestyle-begeisterte Teilnehmer so weit das Auge reicht. 133 Snowboarder und Freeskier aus sieben Nationen sind am vergangenen Samstag nach Nesselwang gepilgert, um am bereits legendären Contest “The 5ive Barbiecue” teilzunehmen.
Quiksilver Wir Schanzen 2011
Das Starterfeld hatte den üblichen Rahmen tatsächlich gesprengt. Denn schon in den frühen Morgenstunden gab es eine ewig lange Schlange bei der Anmeldung im Tal. Das Wetter reagierte ebenso auf die zahlreichen Teilnehmer – je mehr Fahrer gekommen sind, desto mehr blinzelte auch die Sonne hinter den Wolken hervor.

ASP Technical Committee Finalizes One World Rankings Points for 2011.
On the heels of the 2010 ASP World Tour culmination, the ASP Technical Committee have reassessed and re-evaluated the structure of the newly-instated ASP World Rankings system, slightly altering the points allocation for 2011.

“We have always maintained that 2010 was a bridge season and our target was to re-evaluate at year’s end and discuss appropriate alterations moving forward,” Brodie Carr, ASP International CEO, said. “The ASP Tech Comm has met and discussed the points’ structure at length, taking into account the performance of our athletes this season. With some minor tweaking, we have creating a more dynamic and rewarding structure for surfers starting next season.”

Am Wochenende ist es endlich soweit. Das erste fette Highlight im Jahr 2011 steht vor der Tür. Deutschlands einzige Street Contest Serie presented by AClass startet am Samstag nun schon ins sechste Jahr.

12th Burton European Open Halfpipe Qualification!
The sun was out again up on Crap Sogn Gion in LAAX yesterday to welcome the riders for the 4th day at the 12th Burton European Open, the Men’s and Women’s Halfpipe Qualification.

16 year old Jan Scherrer won the Men’s Qualifications, Australian Holly Crawford, BEO 2007 Halfpipe winner, landed on the top spot in the Women’s Qualification.
