ASP Anti-Doping Policy

ASP International has initiated a new Anti-Doping Policy for the world’s best surfers which will be activated for 2012 ASP World Title season.
“This policy represents a consensus between our surfers, events and administrators in evolving the sport of surfing to a more professional level,” Richard Grellman, ASP Executive Chairman, said.
Caio Ibelli dominates Billabong World Junior Championships

The first man-on-man elimination Round at the Billabong World Junior Championships Gold Coast got under way today in 2 foot (1 meter) runners at Burleigh Heads.

The conditions were tricky with good waves on offer, but surfers were forced to be selective and battle for the best waves.
Billabong World Junior Championships girls are on

It’s Day 2 of the Billabong World Junior Championships Gold Coast and the surf has dropped slightly to 2 foot (1 meter), but there are still plenty of nice waves to be had at the Burleigh Heads rock break.
“We’re going to start with the girls Round 1,” Contest Director Luke Egan said. “There are some good waves out there so we will see how the day progresses. At this point the girls Round 2 and the boys Round 2 are both on standby and could possibly run later in the day.”
