Pop/post-punk three-piece Lemuria spent the last year going strong on their Bridge Nine debut album, “Pebble”, which hit stores in January of 2011.
Over the course of the year, Lemuria toured all over the world, including the US, Canada, Europe, the UK, and even Russia. Now, the band is excited to kick of 2012 in the studio recording two new songs for a special 7inch for Record Store Day!

The first man-on-man elimination Round at the Billabong World Junior Championships Gold Coast got under way today in 2 foot (1 meter) runners at Burleigh Heads.

The conditions were tricky with good waves on offer, but surfers were forced to be selective and battle for the best waves.

It’s Day 2 of the Billabong World Junior Championships Gold Coast and the surf has dropped slightly to 2 foot (1 meter), but there are still plenty of nice waves to be had at the Burleigh Heads rock break.
“We’re going to start with the girls Round 1,” Contest Director Luke Egan said. “There are some good waves out there so we will see how the day progresses. At this point the girls Round 2 and the boys Round 2 are both on standby and could possibly run later in the day.”
