Nachdem die New Yorker erst vor Kurzem in ihrer Heimatstadt gleich zweimal mit einer Wahnsinns-Show die Massen zum Ausrasten brachten, sind die Hardcorelegenden im August live in Berlin und Essen zu sehen.

“Modern Life Is War is an active band again. In September of last year, we wrote an album in John’s basement in Marshalltown, which will be recorded at God City in May and released on Deathwish in September. The original lineup of Chris Honeck, Matt Hoffman, Jeffrey Eaton, Tyler Oleson and John Eich will be in place.”

“For what it’s worth, we are not approaching this as a ‘reunion’ but rather as a band with a new record that will be working to contribute something worthwhile. Extensive touring is not in the cards for us at this point. Our first show back will be at This Is Hardcore Fest in August, followed by a record release show in Iowa. We will announce an official release date as well as specific show dates and locations as soon as they are confirmed.”

Crime In Stereo reunion

Crime In Stereo have officially announced they are reunited. Read their statement below.
The band’s first show back will be November 24 at The Gramercy Theatre in NYC with I Am The Avalanche and they will be recording and releasing new music again in the future.
Scott Vogel not supporting Refused reunion

Refused Reunion

The groundbreaking, highly influential Swedish hardcore band Refused have announced a series of shows scheduled for summer 2012.
Refused
This is the band’s first appearance since their breakup in the late ‘90s and will include performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 13th and 20th and the Way Out West Festival in Sweden Aug 9-11.
Washington DC Punk/HC Legenden Scream auf Tour

1981 gründeten sich Scream und wurden in kürzester Zeit neben Bands wie Minor Threat und Government Issue zu einem Fixpunkt der aufstrebenden Punk- und Hardcoreszene in Washington DC. Insgesamt 4 Alben auf Dischord untermauern diesen Status.

Kurze Zeit später stieß der damals 17jährige Drummer Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) für vier Jahre zur Band, in dessen “Studio 606″ das Quintett im Frühling 2011 die kürzlich veröffentlichte 10″ Vinyl “Complete Control Session” zeitgleich zu ihrer Reunion aufnahm.

In den letzten Jahren nach der Auflösung ist viel passiert. Jeder Einzelne hat eine natürliche Entwicklung mitgemacht und ist seinen Weg gegangen, teilweise mit alten Gefährten, aber auch alleine in neuen und unterschiedlichen Konstellationen.
